  • The ACT Junior Chess League Annual General Meeting set down for Easter Saturday April 15 during the Doeberl Cup has been postponed until Sunday May 28, at Campbell High School during the Under 8 Championships.

Notice of Annual General Meeting of ACT Junior Chess League The upcoming Annual General Meeting for the ACT Junior Chess League will be held on Sunday 28 May 2017 (during the Under 8 Championships) at Campbell High School. The purpose of the meeting is to provide reports on the operations of the ACTJCL during 2016 and fill vacant committe positions for 2017.

The committee sets the direction for ACTJCL operations as well as the smooth running of tournaments, junior chess clubs, school events and coaching in the ACT and surrounding areas. The AGM is also an opportunity to discuss the health of junior chess in the ACT and offer ideas for the future. Your attendance is required as ACTJCL needs the support of its parent and support base to allow the ongoing provision of chess opportuniuties for the children of the ACT and region. Please attend, even if only to show your support and make up the numbers for a quorum.
